Couples & Relationship Counselling
Specialist support to help you understand relationship patterns and create meaningful change
I offer couples and relationship counselling, having completed specialist training and been awarded The Grove’s Certificate in Couple/Relationship Therapy, accredited by COSRT at Level 5.
A Clear and Supportive Approach to Relationship Work
I offer a clear, balanced, and collaborative approach to couples and relationship counselling.
My aim is to help you understand what is happening between you and to support you in finding more effective ways of relating.
You do not need to be in crisis — many people seek support to strengthen their relationship or address difficulties before they escalate further.
Sessions are guided and focused, helping you move forward in a practical and meaningful way.
When Relationships Become Difficult
Relationships of all kinds can experience challenges.
You may find yourselves:
-
Struggling to communicate without things escalating
-
Feeling misunderstood, unheard, or disconnected
-
Repeating the same patterns without change
-
Experiencing tension, distance, or conflict
-
Unsure how to move forward
This may be within a romantic relationship, but also between:
-
Family members
-
Friends
-
Business partners or colleagues
How I Work
Rather than focusing on who is right or wrong, we look at the patterns in how you interact with each other.
Together, I will help you to :
-
Understand each other’s perspectives more clearly
-
Identify and change unhelpful communication and behaviour patterns
-
Develop more helpful and effective ways of responding
-
Strengthen emotional and physical intimacy
I will guide the sessions to ensure that both people feel heard, while helping you stay focused on what will create meaningful change.

A Practical Approach
Alongside our sessions, I may suggest focused strategies or exercises to try between sessions.
This may include:
-
Practising more effective ways of communicating
-
Developing practical strategies to manage conflict and reduce escalation
-
Stepping out of patterns that lead to repeated arguments or misunderstandings
-
Strategies to develop greater emotional and physical intimacy
This helps ensure that change takes place not only within the session, but in your day-to-day interactions.
What to Expect
Sessions provide a space where:
-
Both people can speak openly
-
Difficult conversations are supported and contained
-
Patterns can be explored safely
-
New ways of understanding and relating can develop
The focus is not on blame, but on understanding, responsibility, and change.
